Key Responsibility Areas - Area Chairs
Course Allocations;
Develop the area academically by encouraging research;
Develop and offer innovative and new courses;
Innovation in course development to be reflected in Course Outline Development & Manual Preparation;
Integration of courses within the Area and cross functionally;
Discuss with area chairs across campuses;
Coordination of Guest Lectures within the Area;
Organize and invite faculty from India and abroad to teach in a visiting role;
Organize and invite Industry Professors to deliver course(s);
Guidance to visiting and younger faculty;
To identify domain expertise of faculty for the Program;
Meeting with faculty members in area taking courses for reviewing teaching done during the term;
To deliver MDPs within the area;
Coordination of seminars and workshops within the Area;
Develop detailed plan for FDP requirement in the area;
Plan for industrial visits;
Identifying domain expertise of faculty to be identified;
Approval of mode of continuous evaluation & final assessment;
Approval of question papers for all the modules within the area;
Utilization of 'YES' Forum;
Placement of sectoral students;
Student Mentoring ie., counsel students on elective choices within the area/job openings which are area specific;

Course Allocations for the Program in coordination with other Area Heads;
Develop the Program by benchmarking;
Develop and offer innovative and new courses;
Innovation in course development to be reflected in Course Outline Development & Manual Preparation;
Integration of courses for the Program with other area heads and cross functionally;
Discuss with other Program Heads;
Coordinate with Dean's office for smooth functioning;
Coordination of Guest Lectures for the Programs;
Organize and invite faculty from India and abroad to teach in a visiting role;
Organize and invite Industry Professors to deliver course(s);
Guidance to visiting and younger faculty;
To participate in Program Heads Meetings;
Meeting with faculty members in the Program taking courses for reviewing teaching done during the term;

Program implementation on campus, smooth conduct of the program, monitor program delivery;
Incharge- Program Office;
Academic calender monitoring & control;
Coordination & implementation of Academic Council and Governing Body meetings;
Student feedback discussion with faculty along with the Director;
Ensuring quality of teaching & learning (content & delivery) on all the programs;
Coordination with Program Heads;
Meeting recruiters;
Counselling & mentoring students;
Work with area heads for course allocation & development;
Work with faculty incharge -assessments on a continued basis to ensure timely declaration of results;
Teaching & research at an appropriate level, taking into account other key result areas;
Coordination with Admission office for refund issues.
