Extra curricular and co-curricular activities are an important part of the education process. It is necessary for the overall personality development of the student. To promote such activities, the Institute provides various platforms to the students to pursue their interests. Few of the student driven societies are:
The Institute encourages students to participate in inter college competitions like - Debates, Business Quiz, GK Quiz, Dramatics etc.
IILM GSM maintains a close relationship with its alumni and ensures their active participation in the functioning of their Alma matter. At present we have alumni strength of around 1500. The Alumni Association helps in the career growth of students through active participation. The Alumni Association consists of elected body of members from among the Alumni, a faculty coordinator and student representatives from the current batch. The Alumni Association organizes diverse events round the year including seminars and workshops, and training programmes to keep abreast of current happenings in the business world. It also organizes cultural nights with eminent artists and provides a forum to the alumni to express opinion through the medium of art. The institute organizes annual Alumni Meet on third Sunday of December every year, apart from monthly meetings. The Alumni Association has been able to come up with alumni network for ‘mentorship programme’ enabling our current students to know their seniors and learn from their wisdom and experiences.
Purpose: The purpose of the SCoP is to maintain constant interaction with corporate partners and associates of IILM-GSM and to arrange interactions with corporates on a regular basis.
Functions: The role and responsibilities of the SCoP are as follows:
1. To organize corporate interactions for PGDM students on a regular basis.
2. To maintain and update a database of contacts in companies which have an association with IILM-GSM. It would maintain constant interaction with them by informing them of events and happenings at IILM-GSM on a regular basis.
3. To send brochures, newsletters, greetings etc. on IILM-GSM’s behalf to the companies in SCoP’s database on behalf of IILM-GSM.
4. To help in arranging speakers, participation and sponsorship for events at IILM-GSM.
5. To co-ordinate with Placement committee to make contacts/associations with organization which are being targeted for placements
The Campus enjoys a magnificent setting in a pollution free eco-friendly environment. The serene environment at the campus provides the much needed balance between natural ambience and modernity. The Institute provides on-campus accommodation for girls. The boy’s accommodation is off-campus. It is a semi-furnished suite-type hostel accommodation, with attached bath, on 2/3/4 sharing basis. The Campus is very well connected with different parts of Delhi and provides transport facility from key vantage points in Delhi. The Institute has its own dedicated luxury coaches as well.
IILM Graduate School of Management also has provisions for financial assistance to deserving students, in the form of Merit-cum-Means Scholarships. As the name suggests these scholarships are given to selected students on merit-cum-means basis. The Scholarship Award Committee selects the candidates on the basis of pre-defined criteria of academic excellence and their financial means. The continuance of the scholarship in the second year is based on the student’s performance in the first year.
The Institute shortlists students for the following scholarships based on CAT results:-Category A: 100 % tuition fee waiver for students achieving 95 percentile and above.
Category B: 50% tuition fee waiver for students achieving 90 percentile and above.
Both the scholarships are subject to financial means assessment and Personal Interview held by the Institute.
b. Student Research Assistanceship SchemeStudent Assistnaceship Scheme is designed to extend financial assistance to bright and interested students who are willing to spare few hours of their time for appropriate Institutional activities for a living scholarship. Limited number of such scholarships is announced from time-to-time from the Dean’s office.
c. Study LoansMost of the commercial banks in India extend study loans to needy students. The Institute has special arrangement with Indian Bank for loan purposes. The Accounts section assists students in determining the amount of loan possible, documentation required and the overall process for availing the same. Those students who are unable to secure loan from banks are given financial assistance from the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust.
